Give a Gift that Lasts Forever
You may make a tax deductible contribution directly to the NC Outdoor Heritage Trust Fund or designate the Fund as a beneficiary of a bequest through your will or living trust. When making a memorial contribution or honorarium, include the name and address of the person(s) making the donation as well as the name of the person(s) for whom the donation is being made in the additional comments or instructions section of the online donation page. A card will be sent to the donor of the contribution.
If you would like to meet with someone from our staff to discuss your Honorarium, Memorial or Beneficiary we would love to talk with you. Please contact Meg Gaito, our Fundraising and Grants Manager at Meg.Gaito@nc.gov or at 919-707-4036.
This year you can give a gift that leaves impact. Whether you want to make a tax-deductible gift from yourself or give in honor of someone for their Christmas gift, we have both ways set up! 2020 has been a rough year and for many students across our state that meant their learning turned virtual. Now more than ever it is important to get or youth outdoors. We were able to provide funding this fall to schools all across the state to build outdoor classrooms to ensure students could learn in safe, hands-on environments. Your gift this Christmas, will ensure that students across the state will continue to have access to outdoor educational learning experiences and programming that takes them on new adventures to learn things first-hand.
There are two ways to share your gift with those you gave in honor of, we can mail a letter directly to that person or we can send you via email, a copy of the letter for you to print that you can wrap up and give them yourself. If you would like for us to send you an email copy of the letter if you will please email Meg Gaito, our Fundraising and Grants Manager, at Meg.Gaito@nc.gov. If you have any additional questions about making a memorial gift or an honorarium please contact Meg via email or by calling her at 919-707-4036.
